Alrighty! So, I’m starting to feel the pressure of everything happening at once in life. I received two inquiries yesterday with regarding to seeing the townhouse. Both wanted to see the townhouse this weekend, and the truth is, I’m not really ready to let someone traipse through what is still technically our home.
Plus, I wanted to at least give our hallway a fresh coat of paint. The carpets have already been shampooed, so at least that’s one thing checked off the to do list.
Speaking of paint—I still have one room left in the new house to paint (the guest room), and we want to make sure that gets done before our carpet is installed on the 23rd of this month.
Lots to do, and not a lot of time to do it in! Especially when it needs to get squeezed in between work, soccer practice, softball practice, making sure I get plenty of cuddle time with Kelly, AND making sure I get some workouts in!
Speaking of workouts—this week’s were fairly short and sweet. I’ve been spending about 45 minutes in the gym for each session. This week looked like so:
- Tuesday – Back
- Wednesday – Arms
- Friday – Legs
- Every day – Pilates
Very short and sweet, right?? It comes down to fitting in what you can, when you can. I’ve been feeling a tad bit bored with my workouts also, and it amazes me what just doing a few minor tweaks can do to let you know you’ve hit your muscles differently.
I actually experimented with a few new exercises this week. Wednesday I tried my hand at Reverse Grip Barbell Curls:
Friday, I did lateral side step ups for the first time.
And I also tried single leg hamstring curls:
Needless to say, my booty is hurtin’ today!!
Next week is going to be hit or miss with workouts as well because I’m not sure how late in the evening I’ll be working to try and get the house ready to be shown to prospective tenants, but I know that I will try and make the most out of each and every session. Quality, not quantity is what I’m going to shoot for!
